Chicago Comics was founded in 1986 with a mission. A mission to bring one of the largest and most comprehensive comic book selections to the Chicagoland area. Specializing in small press, hard to find indie comics titles, and manga; Chicago Comics also carries most available mainstream titles (and can special or pre-order anything you'd like) and amazing merchandise for all things comics, manga, nerdy, or art.​With our sister store, Quimby's (located at 1854 W. North Ave.,) we have kept our focus simple. Providing Chicago with the world's finest in alternative, underground, art focused works while providing your full range of guilty-pleasure mainstream stuff you'd never let your cool comix friends know you've been collecting for more than a decade.... we won't tell.

We may have more issues you're looking for in the basement. There are only so many books we can bag & board in one week! You may also email us and we will check our stock for the books you're looking for! 

The back of our store is the independent comics publishing section. It's there that you'll find the most diverse and odd voices in the industry from Fantagraphics and Drawn & Quarterly to Local Comic Creators, Small Press to Self-published you'll find it in the back-half of the shop.
